The antennules (smaller of the two pairs of antennas) are well formed, not vestigial. Dorsal body segments 8–9 are small and inconspicuous, not well pronounced in as in Stenasellidae. The uropods (pair of forked, tail-like appendages) are present terminally not lateral or ventral.
